Birthday Surprise - Diary Entry #1

July 24:
Nathan was walking down the street to his favourite hoodie shop when he got a text, the screen displayed: Happy Birthday freak. It was the girl he'd tried to chat up at school the other day. He sighed. His love of wearing jeans, trainers and hoodies clearly hadn't appealed to her. Nathan shook his head and stuffed his phone into his jeans pockets as he walked into the shop.

Nathan grinned and walked to the section containing hoodies his own size. Nathan couldn't help but grin as he pulled out a nice red hoodie, he rushed over to the counter and slapped the money down, wriggling with excitement when the cashier handed him his new hoodie back. Nathan shook his head when the cashier had asked about him wanting a back. What was the use of buying a new hoodie if you were only going to have it in a bag? Once outside the shop Nathan took his old faded hoodie off and binned it, replacing it with his new red one.

Nathan was walking home when something shot in front of him, causing him to spin and drop to his knees. A figure in a yellow hoodie pulled up over its face came into view, holding a tattered old hoodie in its hands. Nathan knew who this was, it was Hoodie, one of the Slender Man's Proxy's.
Hoodie shuffled his feet nervously then held up Nathan's faded yellow hoodie, pointing at it then at himself. "C-can I-I have this?"
Nathan blinked then nodded, shell shocked. "Y-yeah."
Hoodie nodded then scurried off into the night.

Nathan sighed as he slumped onto his bed, wishing he could have worn his new hoodie for longer. He glanced out of the window to find a box wrapped in birthday paper sitting on his window. Nathan got up and walked over to the window and opened it, picking up the box. Inside was the skateboard he'd wanted for so long! He checked the tag just in case it was a mistake, it wasn't. The Parcel had been addressed to him in spindly writing: To Nathan Breakey, I saw you looking at this and got it for you as it's your birthday. Happy birthday - Hoodie.
